Jacob and Madison met at UNC Chapel Hill and started dating senior year. They spent the early days of their relationship running through the North Forest trails while Jacob trained for a half marathon. They moved to DC after graduation to be closer to their families, and begin working. Jacob planned the trip back to NC around the famous Duke versus UNC football game, proposing the day before kickoff on the same campus where they met. Madison said yes, and they spent the rest of the weekend enjoying Chapel Hill again with their friends.

The Carolina Inn was built in 1924 by UNC Alumnus John Sprunt Hill and stands in the heart of UNC’s Campus. The Inn was donated to the campus a decade later and is the only on-site hotel there today. From football games and graduations to quiet afternoons, few places capture the spirit of Chapel Hill quite like The Carolina Inn.
