I met Travis and Monica for the first time when I photographed Travis’s proposal. When they told me about their wedding day plan, my heart absolutely melted! An intimate wedding in a beautiful mountainside cabin with a private chef and a 5 course dinner!
Travis and Monica describe themselves as being more homebody family-people and their wedding day embodied that perfectly. They wanted to create a day where they could both spoil and celebrate with their loved ones. To do this they rented a large cabin Banner Elk and brought each of their immediate families as well as Travis’s two boys to spend the weekend there.

After a heartfelt ceremony with custom vows between not only Travis and Monica but also Monica and the boys, it was time to eat!
Chef Missy and her husband, Thomas, had prepared a breathtaking 5 course meal with sommelier-led wine pairings for each course. Not only did the food look and taste phenomenal, Chef Missy provided a full experience by explaining the origins of many of her dishes and how she combined French cuisine with her personal culinary flare and experience.
I applaud these two for crafting a day that speaks so truly to who they are, and it fell nothing short of absolutely perfect. Thank you so much Travis and Monica for allowing me to capture and enjoy this experience alongside you!
